Rhizome²

« Dans la théorie philosophique de Gilles Deleuze et Félix Guattari, un rhizome est un modèle descriptif et épistémologique dans lequel l’organisation des éléments ne suit pas une ligne de subordination (comme dans une hiérarchie) — avec une base (ou une racine, un tronc), offrant l’origine de plusieurs branchements, selon le modèle de l’Arbre de Porphyre —, mais où tout élément peut affecter ou influencer tout autre. »

L’installation «Rhizome ² » est une création in situ. Elle vient inscrire ses formes organiques (animales et/ou végétales) débordantes et chaotiques sur le plan d’eau pour signifier le vivant. Par sa construction et le jeu avec l’eau, elle illustre les inter-relations de différents systèmes. Le drain agricole qui la constitue, détourné en matériau de sculpture, retrouve ici l’élément naturel avec lequel il est en contact dans son usage premier.

« Rhizome ² » is an in situ installation. It inscribes its organic forms (animal and/or vegetable) overflowing and chaotic on the water to signify the living. Through its construction and play with water, it illustrates the inter-relationship of different systems. The agricultural drain that forms it, diverted into a sculptural material, recaptures the natural element with which it came into contact in its original use.
